Project Management Strategy and Action Planning

This course examines the important connections between organizational strategic objectives and project initiatives. It highlights issues of aligning strategy and project completion goals. Participants will be introduced to state-of-the-art thinking in strategic project management and will learn about various strategic approaches to planning and implementing projects. In addition, time will be devoted to improving action planning skills, resource allocation and resource deployment. State of the art project planning tools and technologies will also be examined.

Participants will work through practical challenges involved in developing strategic plans and implementation strategies, They will examine the necessary approaches required for implementing change and integrating projects into the overall strategic company direction. An important goal of the program is to enhance cross-functional communication and develop a shared understanding of the roles of different operational units in business and corporate strategy.
