Using an array of custom designed and innovative structured activities the course provides participants with an opportunity to practice and learn state of the art tools and processes that enable project managers to identify, categorize, evaluate, select, prioritize, authorize, terminate and review various portfolio components to ensure their alignment with current and future business strategy and goals.

Through the course’s dynamic and highly interactive format participants will engage in addressing strategic planning approaches, project risk assessment and management alternatives, developing stakeholder relationships, understanding internal and external customer needs, building project team leadership, organizing and managing multiple projects, managing enterprise-wide initiatives, scheduling, controlling and managing contracts.

The course also describes ways to develop comprehensive project management metrics that insure project success. It demonstrates how to link the efforts of individual project team members with the overall success of the project, thus promoting teamwork and improving project team morale. It identifies the best practices of successful project leaders and key important lessons that have been learned from recent studies. It helps project managers not only focus on “doing work right,” but also on “doing the right work.”

Participants will learn practical project initiatives that can be implemented to improve processes, streamline productivity, and drastically reduce costs. Participants will improve their own project management skills and will return back to their organizations with fresh and powerful knowledge to share with others in their own project environments.

The course offers experienced project managers a unique opportunity to enhance their expertise, develop professionally and achieve success for themselves and their organizations. Course participants who successfully complete all five days of the course will receive a certificate distinguishing them as Certified Senior Project Managers. (CSPM).
