Next-Gen Presentations: ChatGPT, Claude & NotebookLM

Build a polished, evidence-backed deck with a three-tool workflow: NotebookLM to ground every claim in your sources, ChatGPT to structure and automate, and Claude to write and design directly inside PowerPoint.

The slide deck is a universal deliverable, and it is also where AI tools most visibly disagree. Ask three different assistants to build the same presentation and you get three very different results: one is accurate but flat, one is creative but loose with the facts, and one looks polished but says little. No single tool does it all well.

This workshop teaches the workflow instead of the tool. You will learn to route each part of deck-building to the assistant that does it best: NotebookLM to ground your content in your own sources, ChatGPT to find the narrative and automate the busywork, and Claude to write human-sounding copy and design slides natively inside PowerPoint. The result is a repeatable approach you can apply to every deck you build rather than a one-off trick tied to a single product.

Across two hands-on sessions you will build a real presentation end to end, from raw source documents to a finished, brand-aligned deck, and run a side-by-side audit of where each tool wins and where it falls short.

Participants will build a practical, repeatable presentation workflow and learn to:

  • Compare design fidelity across tools and recognize which produces the most visually cohesive, ready-to-present output
  • Weigh accuracy against speed when generating a multi-slide deck, and protect factual integrity under time pressure
  • Assemble a personal tech-stack, knowing when Claude fits logic- and language-focused tasks and when ChatGPT fits structural and automation tasks
  • Ground a presentation in your own source documents so every claim is citable and free of hallucination
  • Practice prompting techniques that minimize the cleanup needed after generation
  • Align AI output to your brand, slide masters, fonts, and colors so the deck reads as human-made

Topic Outline

Three Modules

Delivered across two live sessions · six hours total

Module 01Research & Grounding · NotebookLM

The Source-First Phase

  • Grounding your presentation in your actual data rather than the model's general knowledge
  • Using NotebookLM's Studio panel and native slide-deck generator to turn PDFs and research notes into "detailed decks" and presenter slides, and when to choose each format
  • Using inline citations so every claim on a slide traces back to an uploaded source
  • Hands-on lab: build a grounded source set and generate a first, fully-cited deck outline
Module 02Creative & Structural Pivot · ChatGPT

Finding the Narrative, Automating the Build

  • Using ChatGPT to find the "hook" and emotional arc that raw data tends to miss
  • Turning a dataset into a logical multi-slide outline with supporting tables
  • Generating imagery for "impact slides" the other tools can't yet produce
  • Hands-on lab: turn the grounded outline into a structured, scripted slide skeleton with a clear story
Module 03Native Design & Integration · Claude

Designing Inside PowerPoint, and the Final Audit

  • Using Claude's PowerPoint add-in to build and refine slides without leaving the app
  • Teaching Claude to read your existing slide masters, fonts, and hex codes so the output looks human-made
  • The final comparison: a side-by-side audit of all three results across accuracy, creativity, design, and workflow
  • Capstone: assemble and present a finished, brand-aligned deck built with your own three-tool stack

This workshop is for anyone whose work runs on presentations and who wants to build them faster without sacrificing accuracy or polish:

  • Consultants, analysts, and researchers who turn dense source material into decision-ready decks
  • Marketers, product managers, and founders who pitch ideas and need impact slides on a deadline
  • Managers and team leads who present results, plans, and updates to leadership and clients
  • Anyone comfortable with PowerPoint who wants a dependable, repeatable AI workflow for building slides

No coding experience is required. Tools fully explained in session.
