ChatGPT is easy to begin using, but that ease can hide the difference between a plausible response and work you can actually rely on. The model and tool you choose, the instructions and context you provide, and the way you review the result all influence the quality of what comes back.
This workshop introduces a practical method for using ChatGPT with greater confidence and control. Participants will learn how to navigate its core features, choose an appropriate level of reasoning for the task, write prompts that produce useful and reviewable results, and use search and deep research without treating citations as proof by themselves.
Designed for both newcomers and those who want to strengthen their existing skills, the session moves beyond one-off questions and focuses on using ChatGPT deliberately for writing, analysis, problem-solving, and research.
Participants will need an active ChatGPT account. A paid plan is recommended so participants can follow the file and research exercises. Available models, tools, and usage limits may vary by plan and workspace configuration.
This is the entry point to the ChatGPT series. It is followed by Everyday Work with ChatGPT and Building Reliable Custom GPTs & Repeatable Workflows.
