Microsoft Copilot Fundamentals
Understand which Copilot you are using, what information it can access, and how to write effective prompts that work across Copilot experiences. View the workshop
The Copilot Foundations path completed end to end, closed with a certificate exam.
The Copilot Foundations path is AIPTD's entry-level credential for Microsoft Copilot. It begins with prompting fundamentals, progresses to applied practice in Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and concludes with the development of a first no-code Copilot agent. Participants complete the pathway by passing a final certification exam.
Each workshop in the path is also available on its own. When completed as part of the full certification pathway, they build the practical fluency assessed by the exam: a durable prompting method, deliberate use of grounding and reference materials, applied drafting and analysis across Microsoft 365, and the ability to build and test a functional Copilot agent
Participants who complete all five workshops and pass the certification exam receive the AIPTD Certificate of Proficiency in Copilot Foundations.
Issued by AIPTD. This is an independent professional credential. It is not issued, sponsored, or endorsed by Microsoft, and it is separate from Microsoft's own certifications.
